Vista Hinchinbrook

Are you travelling through the region or staying awhile for the fishing and wildlife, whatever brought you past our door you will always find a welcome at Vista Hinchinbrook.

The View
Being perched high on the Cardwell Range opens up a view of Hinchinbrook Island and channel to the north, where the tragedy of the Texas Terror unfolded. To the east, whilst looking out to the Coral Sea, the whole Palm Island group rolls south along the coastline. The Lucinda Jetty sugar loading facility juts out to sea, along its almost 6km form, making it the longest in the southern hemisphere. In between all this lays the Hinchinbrook Channel (Bolan Milbirmi) which is also protected under the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.

BnB
Conveniently situated between Townsville 1.5 hours and Cairns 2 hours, opens itself up for an overnight stay. However once here you may be tempted to stay longer to explore the Hinchinbrook Way and all it has to offer, including Wallaman Falls, Australia’s highest single drop waterfall.

Choose one of our luxurious, modern, self-contained cabins in a rainforest setting. Enjoy a BBQ on your large private deck, while keeping an eye out for cassowaries and other wildlife. BBQ meat packs available through reception. Your kitchenette includes kettle, microwave, electric frying pan, and plates etc.

Alternatively stay in our en-suite guest room within the main complex. All rooms are ideal for couples; however, the futon settee can then accommodate families.

In the morning enjoy your continental breakfast on the viewing deck between 7am and 9 am. Hot options available for a modest fee.
